Brf Alen in Boden chose to be without disruption with Proline
Brf Alen in Boden chose Proline to take care of their drainage pipes. The association has three buildings, two tall ones with 50 apartments in each and a three-story building with 20 apartments as well as an office and shops on the ground floor. The properties were built between 1961 and 1965.
The board had been given the task of purchasing a replumb, and in the first round they asked for bids for a conventional plumbing replacement.
“We thought then that it was far too costly,” says Anders Johansson-Lång, chairman of the association. “Our association has a high average tenant age, which placed high demands on the work being executed with as few disruptions as possible. Therefore, we chose to work with Proline in order to have the possibility of a disruption-free repair while staying in our apartments. In connection with Proline repairing our drainage pipes, we also installed new water lines in the stairways, and in this way we were able to avoid tearing up the vents in the walls. This solution saved millions for the association compared to a traditional plumbing replacement. The work started at the end of 2005 and was finished during October 2006. We are very satisfied with Proline and the solution we got. The work has flowed along very well, from start to finish,” Anders concludes.
