Proline won Swedbank’s Business Prize in 2007 – Business of the Year. Swedbank’s Business Prize is one of the most established business prizes in the country. The prize is intended to reward the vision and driving force of the business, its wealth of ideas and innovation, and its power to act. The company must also prove sustained growth and improvement in results as well as consideration for the environment in its activities.
In all, 350 companies throughout the country were nominated. By means of regional finals, all but the most exceptional ten were weeded out; they moved on to the big national final, where Proline was crowned winner. The prize was awarded by Pehr G. Gyllenhammar and Swedbank’s managing director and concern boss Jan Lidén in connection with the conference ”Our Economic Situation in 2007” at Globen in Stockholm.
The jury´s statement reads as follows:
”An entrepreneur with an idea that revolutionizes the construction renovation and expansion industry and which has succeeded in taking an invention all the way from the idea stage to a profitable and expanding business, completely on their own. Goal-oriented and sustained work in a difficult industry, combined with several patents, has contributed to their success. The environmental friendliness and time-saving aspects of the product have opened the doors to a global victory parade.”.
The jury was comprised of Jan Lidén, MD Swedbank; Salvatore Grimaldi, MD Grimaldi Industri AB; the winner for 2006, Bicky Chakraborty, Elite Hotels of Sweden; and Monica Lindstedt, founder and owner of Hemfrid i Sverige AB.
