Proline´s history

The idea for a method of relining pipes for wastewater and drainage with the help of plastic was conceived in 1989 by Proline’s founder Sten Edström. As an enthusiastic boat owner, he realized that plastic, which is so good at keeping water out of a boat, should also be able to be used to keep it in in pipes and drains that had seen better days. Sten Edström was passionate about his idea and devoted years of strenuous work to developing it. The idea was patented and the business was established. The first relining project was carried out in Gävle in 1995. After further development work, an office opened in Karlstad, after which a time of strong expansion followed.
