10 YEARS WITH Proline
Over ten years ago, Proline relined drainage and runoff pipes for L E Lundbergs Fastigheter in Arvika. In September 07, it was time for the ten-year guarantee inspection of the property Långdansen which was built at the end of the 1960’s. Fastighets AB L E Lundberg is one of the largest private property owners in Sweden. The inventory of properties consists mostly of centrally located apartments, offices and store premises.
“We were one of the first ones to choose relining,” says Rolf Carlsson, Property Administrator with Lundbergs Fastigheter. ”We had big problems in one of our buildings. The interior of the building, which contains 20 apartments, had had water leakage between a toilet and the bathtub where the water had penetrated down to the apartments below. In the worst shape were, as I usually call them, the y-frogs where our plastic pipes had split and were partially worn apart. Then we came into contact with Proline, who was able to solve our problems in a much more simple way than changing the pipes. Best of all was that all the tenants could stay in their apartments, the work was quickly finished in each apartment, and bathrooms and kitchens could be used again.
“Now the years have gone, and during the fall we did a ten-year guarantee inspection. We did random samples in every stairway and we took a video of the pipes. The result, which wasn’t particularly surprising, showed that Proline’s pipes were in their original condition. I am really satisfied. If we had used the traditional method, it would have been significantly more expensive. Instead the cost per apartment was about the same as what it costs to move a tenant during a traditional replumb. Traditionally, you also have to pay the costs of restoring the bathrooms. There’s a big difference with Proline.
“I will continue to choose relining of drainpipes in the future, that’s the best method,” concludes Rolf Carlsson.
